Rock the Kasbah

So one last post involving my Moroccan obsession - the beautiful, amazing, and inviting Kasbah du Toubkal, both the region and the resort. Located in the nature reserve below the Jbel Toubkal (North Africa's highest peak), this wonderland was the product of European imagination and the Berber way of life. Created as a sanctuary within and around nature, this abandoned feudal castle is now an eco-conscious getaway of highest order. Made entirely from local resources, and run entirely by the local Berber people, the hotel lacks nothing in the way of luxury or hospitality. With 24 rooms, rooftop views of Medina, beautiful courtyards and hiking trails through the mountainous area (complete with a solar powered trekking lodge), you will feel like this is a paradise made especially to nurture yourself, and appreciate the wonders of mother nature.

To give you an idea of the amazing location - the left is the image of the hotel itself, and the right is one of their gorgeous gardens.

And to match the beauty of the exterior, the Moroccan decor inside (and on top...the right is the roof top terrace), makes you want to eat, relax and just live...

And if you want privacy, you certainly won't be upset to spend some time in one of their amazing rooms or suites or bath houses. Talk about a room with a view!

All the arches and tiles, colors and patterns, lanterns and furniture...oh my! In a place like this, how could one not come back with amazing ideas of how to make your own home so welcoming, beautiful, and worldly?
